Boots cuts the ribbon on new beauty concept store in London

Boots has opened a new 11,200 square foot concept beauty store in London’s Battersea Power Station as part of a drive to “transform its beauty offering”.

The store, which opened to customers yesterday morning (December 6), is staffed by a team of 35 beauty specialists providing services including free skin scanning, as well as a specially trained pharmacist providing one-to-one consultations on skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis.

There are also plans for a private pharmacist prescribing service at the store “for customers who need access to prescription only medicines to treat certain skin conditions,” a spokesperson said, adding that the company is seeking to “roll out specialist skin care training to more pharmacists in selected stores”.

The store opening follows the company’s efforts to “revamp” 170 beauty halls over the last three years.

Jenna Ward, head of beauty reinvention at Boots, said: “The new Boots Beauty store at Battersea Power Station provides a platform for us to test the latest brands and new service innovations before we introduce them to customers shopping in our stores across the country.

“By combining Boots’ 175 years of pharmacy heritage with our market-leading beauty offering, we can offer accessible and holistic skin care expertise on the high street in a way that’s never been done before. The opening of this new store marks a major milestone in Boots transformation of beauty on the high street.”
